Holidays and Baby Hurrays

We had a perfect Thanksgiving with the Aanderuds again this year. We spent the holiday at Paul's brother Zach's house were we enjoyed darling kids, delicous food, the gorgious view of the lake in there back yard, late night dancing around the fireplace to Erasure, some insane after Thanksgiving shopping, and a rambling nature walk through the forest.

Being in a house full of kids made it feel so much more like home. We had lots of fun with Zach's kids Ole, AB and Elsie and of course Eirik the great. Baby Joren decided not to make his appearance until we had a chance to get back to Cleveland and put up some Christmas decorations.

He came on the 26th and his birth went so smoothly and quickly. (Rhodie, take notes) Kit the babymonger couldn't even wait 24 hours to go back up to Detroit and welcome the sweet little swede. Mel got out of the hospital as quickly as she could and declared "lets go get a Christmas tree!" We had a cozy week snuggling the tiny one, playing with Eirik, who is a great big brother and more than happy to share his dinos and horses which he piles ontop of his new friend, and crafting some Christmas and baby treats. (Only for Mel would you need to bring activities to keep the new mom busy!) We made these little shirts for the babes, Rhodie's is the one with birds, and Eirik is modeling the stockings Mel is whipping up.
